Usama Bin Laden; The Weapons of Our Warfare

Extremists and Despots vs. Truth and Vigil

The Weapons of Our Warfare Are Mighty

When extremists (left or right) attack a problem it is most often approached with forceful lies often accompanied with deceit which is intended to polarize and produce fear upon a stage whose backdrop is largely painted and awash with discontent.

In such an atmosphere, in order to achieve an objective the use of illegitimate means often is the most efficient means met with the least amount of resistance.

And when extremist’s employ such means of harnessing the greatest discontent …this offers an opportunity beyond the more moderate means of logic and reason, and this extreme means lead straight to a path whose end is justifiably attractive in that deceit …more often is the path of least resistance through which the means to achieve an end is taken so as to quickly as possible orchestrate a populist’s appealing narration in order to leverage and drive the emotions of the masses through an illusion which steers the battle toward a very narrow well chosen gate of a lies’ promises which offer a more immediate escape.

Never the less, such extremists’ promises …more often lead and amount to nothing more than; “…out of the frying pan …and into the fire.

Regardless of however long it took to make for dire straights, such misleading promise’s contrasts are …at best set to a song which plays to an emotional appeal in which change promises a hope which greatly contrasts with and against the great woes of the status quo …much without first offering a clear path which would or could lead to the prosperity of “…the promised land …”

In like fashion, shear anarchy offers as much promise as extremism’s deceitful fruitless means …lawlessness not withstanding.

In this, then means which extremists use to turn the battle to the gate may be all the more deliberately more detrimental in that such causes seek to employ a moving force …in ways which build and channel the spirit of fear in order to elicit an emotional response. Once the emotions are moving …the inertia of the pursuit of immediate escape will move almost any object …even mountains may be moved.

Yet, when lies move fear, they move objects toward greater restrictions in tighter and higher levels of confinement …rather than truly setting captivity free …as is the case in terms of a mustard seed’s measure of belief in whatsoever is clear and transparently true.

Fear is one such powerful spirit which drives controls and drives deceitful and unworkable promises and solutions upon a stage in front of a backdrop whose appeals’ and lies promise immediate change and hope.

But theses promises’ calls merely mask the opportunity to usurp a vanquished …once free spirit of its independence and ownership in exchange for nothing but that which involves a willingness to relinquish freewill by submitting to the spirit of fear which masquerades its lies behind masks of futility and hopelessness …which points fingers at failures and continuing despair …building an environment of hopelessness   in which deceit makes for a very enticing elixir …which would appeal to the baser instincts of any drunkard.

But the resulting hangover does not restore freedom.

The resultant captivity seizes nothing but still more control and clutches its victims with still more of a dominating hold.

In this, the victim is oblivious to the greater truth that a lie has built a powerful grip that    dominates the human spirit beyond the human instinctive drive to survive and escape.

The allure of “…something for nothing …” overrides reason which has been displaced by beliefs based upon lies designed to elicit an emotion response which motivate the leap from the frying pan.

However the leap from the frying pan leads to a firry landing place.

Bottom line,   beware of extremists who seek to use which the fear of alarmists tactics which lead by making appeals which promise the immediate escape of the threat of present clear and present bondage. Make no mistake about it, if history teaches any lesson well …it is that extremists and despots have always led their populaces …to a place of utter destruction and ruin.

Once sober, the drunkards returns to …the alley …or the street to panhandle.

Beware! Do not fall prey to extremists …even if they promise you promise and change.

Likewise, beware of extremists and other would-be despots …who, for the most part …have no workable solution to offer …save the desire to throw rocks in a glass house without regard for the truth nor the consequences.

Beware! Rather than employ the more obvious the truth; extremists conveniently choose a bolder the lie …even when the truth is plainer than the nose on one’s face. The admission of nothing is a form of denial which is the leading symptom of deceit …goes further by avoid responsibility and truth by making false counter accusations.

Side stepping; toe tapping; hem hawing are but a few of the tale-tale signs that something is amiss before the glass walls of strong holds come crashing down.

So, beware! For as bad as it truly is; pushing a sting of a bolder lies has more dire consequences than the initial bliss of ignorance.  Compared to dereliction of duty, mighty are the weapons of the truth …when diligence is exercised in responsible discernment.

Where I come from, they say that, if a person is not part of the solution; they are part of the problem.

I would venture to say; if one does not know that …then, they are in line to become the greater part of the problem, because, if one is either blind …deaf …dumb and or too stupid to know or care any better, one will not stand for something and most likely will fall prey to anything beyond the grasp of better reason.

And if it this the case, and it also happens to be that one is too prideful and or a liar …those ones are definitely not part of the solution, but rather more than the better part of the problem …lacking the hope of understanding ….and are void …in a broken wisdom given whatever knowledge could ever be held in a cracked pot …even if it could these could see   …at the very least …they hold more than an ounce of contempt for the truth …and a pound for the better prevention.

What does that say of the hope for a pound of cure?

I don’t know; but every time a terrorist attack has occurred in the Middle East, the media offered me reports filled with endless footage of Middle Easterners in mobs …all with clinched fists raised, arms waving …jumping and shouting with glee and joy.

And so, it also was after the news was released that Usama Bin Laden had been killed.

I don’t know, but there may be a narrow window of opportunity to take a lesson in humanity in this.

In this regard, there is …it seems, a quote is circulating throughout the web which is being attributed to Mark Twain.

That quote seems to be false according to some accounts. See the links below.

Clarence Darrow is credited for saying;

“All men have an emotion to kill; when they strongly dislike some one they involuntarily wish he was dead. I have never killed any one, but I have read some obituary notices with great satisfaction.”

None the less, as is …I have enough of a difficult time just taking satisfaction in remembering to pray for my family and those I love …not to mention my enemies and those who persecute me.

So, I guess the old Biblical quote; “…Render no man evil for evil …” is equally difficult to practice.

So, I guess that I’ll just have to take my chances with reaping what I sow.

Sow what?

Raised clenched fists …jumping around like a girls-gone-wild video.

Now, let’s see. Which edition would that be? 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 …or, the latest 2011 one featured on CNN, NBC, CBS and or FOX News …among others.

How long will it be …”Tit for tat” …or what?

Case close?

President Bush; “…Mission accomplished …”

President Obama; “…Justice has been done …”

While it is difficult to say no; I still find it also difficult to say yes.

Why? Because the price of vigilant justice is so costly …certainly no cause for jumping around like chickens that have just had their heads cut off.

This seems like a good time for a well none poem by Rudyard Kipling called simply IF.

If

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream – and not make dreams your master;
If you can think – and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on”;

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings – nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run –
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And – which is more – you’ll be a Man my son!

To this end, in somber gratitude I say; “Good on America.

I raise my hands with fists clenched …thankful for the safety of all those whose efforts brought this extremist down and returned America’s freedom fighters safety through their dangerous missions.

Yet, for all this …there is no measure of justice which will ever make up for the losses which were suffered from 9-11 going forward.

Justice is for me, when I find the courage to pray for my enemies …and, yes  …for those whose persecutions are as evil as the day is long.

Justice, for me …is realizing that I have a long way to go in learning to develop the practice, routines and habits which  cause me to remember why and how to pray …as I ought …without ceasing …for those near and dear to me …let alone …my enemies and those who persecute me.

Is this the vigilance of justice …beyond emotion and reason?

Spiritually, what practices oversight and routines of accountability will ultimately lead to the successful habits that safeguard prosperity?

The answerer to this question lies in the value of the sacrifices made to build the character of Liberty which rests upon a work of free peoples’ meditations upon whatsoever is of true value …and whatsoever is worth safeguarding …not lies and misleading divisive acts of deception.

In the true spirit of sacrifice, may clear accountability promote an America which is not weary in well doing.

May God …then, in turn bless America …accordingly!

Let every American’s freedoms ring responsibly so that all may work well together in order …in peace to reap well a good harvest in the spirit of all that well guards Lady Liberty!

America, stand up and resist extremism!

All the best,

Bill
